How does Accent XL reduce wrinkles and tighten sagging skin?
Accent XL is a non-invasive radio-frequency treatment that uses a cutting-edge heating method called Dual-Layer Thermography to stimulate collagen growth resulting in radiant, younger looking skin with firmer elasticity. What is an Accent XL treatment like?
The treatment is non-invasive with no downtime. During the procedure, your provider will use the Accent XL system to precisely heat the tissue just within your skin’s inner layer (dermis), or for body contouring, the subcutaneous fat layer. The temperature of the skin will be monitored during the procedure to ensure that an optimal temperature is maintained. Depending on the size of the treated area, a treatment may take from 1 to 2 hours. Following each treatment, you can immediately resume all routine activities. You may notice a slight redness and possibly slight swelling of the tissue, which should disappear in less than 24 hours. Generally, three to six treatments will be required for the best results. Body sculpting treatments may be done as often as every 2 weeks, while the best results for skin tightening on the face or body are seen with treating at 4 to 6 week intervals. For the face, you can immediately resume using your normal skin care products and applying makeup.
Does the skin treatment hurt?

Are there any special instructions to follow after an Accent XL treatment?
It is important to drink plenty of water for several days before and after your treatment — at least 2 quarts (64 ounces) per day. This helps ensure the most comfortable treatment and consistent temperature readings during your treatment, You may resume all normal activities after your treatment.
Are the results permanent?
The results achieved with Accent XL treatments are long-lasting. For skin tightening treatments on the face or body, due to the natural ongoing aging process we all continue to experience, most patients will require about one Accent XL treatment a year to maintain their results once they have completed their initial series of 3 to 6 treatments.
